Conflicts - What are the major problems? Why are they problems?
Hi, this is Cole Reeder from 7th period. The main conflict in this book is Henry has enlisted in the army and now realizes he really dislikes the idea of being in war. He mentioned he would do anything to get back home on his farm.

Brooke Mellott 3rd Period- The were complaining that they were loosing to many men and didn't want to fight the whole Rebel Army. They also said they want them to send them more supports.

Hi, this is Cole Reeder from 7th period. I agree that the characters have been complaining about all the death in the past war.

Brooke Mellott 3rd Period- A conflict is a problem that is between two opposing forces. One conflict is when Henry ran away from the first battle. Then he found a guy and the man hit him in the head. This is an example of Man vs. Man.

Hi, this is Cole Reeder from 7th period. My definition of conflict is the main problem in the book, or a struggle between opposing sides. An example of internal conflict is man v.s. self. An example of man v.s. self is when Henry figures out he doesn't want to be in the war and starts getting nervous. "I suddenly realized I didn't want to be in this war!" The conflict was resolved at the end of the book when the war ended and Henry stayed safe and healed. 5 words I came up with to describe Henry were shy, worried, intimidated, self-consionous, and courageous.
